Porous Instant
Experiences of the In-Between — Robert Cahen / Cecilia Ho
Porous Instant is an exhibition project developed through an ongoing dialogue between Robert Cahen https://robertcahen.com , a major figure in international video art, and Cécilia Ho, a transdisciplinary artist whose practice brings together ink, calligraphy, textiles, photography, installation, video and poetic writing.
Initiated in October 2025, the project has taken shape through a sustained process of resonance, exchange and research, supported curatorially by Fuqiao Arts & Projects and nurtured through multiple encounters in France and Hong Kong. What emerged is not a juxtaposition of two artistic worlds, but a shared field of attention to passage, memory, breath, appearance and disappearance.
At its core, Porous Instant explores the In-Between as a space of relation and transformation — between visible and invisible, image and matter, memory and presence, East and West. Conceived as an immersive exhibition journey, it brings Robert Cahen’s moving images into dialogue with Cécilia Ho’s materials, gestures, texts and installations through three movements: Threshold / In-Between / Multiples

Designed for museums, foundations and cultural institutions, the project may be presented either in its full form or through modular configurations, while preserving the conceptual and sensory coherence of the whole.
A key dimension of the project lies in its commitment to mediation and public engagement. Through the Bridge-Map / Carte-Pont, visitors are invited to identify the resonances that circulate between works — trace, breath, memory, transformation, presence — and to experience the exhibition not only as a display, but as a living space of relation.
Porous Instant is currently in development and in dialogue with institutions and partners in Europe and Asia.
