CECILIA HO
Ink seeps, frames dissolve, worlds merge
Between one breath and the next, the image exhales
What you see is not a picture — it is a passage

Exhibitions

Cecilia Ho’s exhibitions unfold as sites of encounter — between image and matter, memory and presence, East and West.

Presented across Hong Kong, Macau, Paris, Kassel, London and Frementle, they reflect a practice in continuous transformation, where each project becomes a space of resonance, transmission and perceptual relation.

Biography

Cecilia Ho is a contemporary transdisciplinary artist who developed her cross cultural practice for over 30 years exploring different artistic forms and mediums.

One of her most notable projects, “Transporting QI” curated by Alvin Yip, aimed at witnessing people’s identity during the modernisation of China was selected to be included in the dOCUMENTA (13) collateral program, exhibited at the Macau Museum of Art and showcased in FotoFeo in 2012 with Martin Parr and Raghu Rai.

In her latest project with Robert Cahen,  Porous Instant  explores passage, memory, breath and the experience of the in-between. Developed through a shared focus on thresholds, disappearance, transformation and resonance, the project situates her work within a renewed contemporary framework.

Porous Instant

Porous Instant is an exhibition project developed through the dialogue between Robert Cahen and Cecilia Ho.
Conceived as an immersive journey, it explores the In-Between as a space of passage, resonance and transformation — between image and matter, memory and presence, East and West.

Initiated in 2025 and developed with the curatorial support of Fuqiao Arts & Projects, the project is designed for museums, foundations and cultural institutions, in full or modular formats. Through its strong commitment to mediation, especially through the Bridge-Map / Carte-Pont, Porous Instant invites visitors not only to view the works, but to enter into relation with what passes between them.
