Exhibitions

Cecilia Ho’s exhibitions unfold as sites of encounter — between image and matter, memory and presence, East and West.

Presented across Hong Kong, Macau, Paris, Kassel, London, Frementle, etc. they trace a practice in continuous transformation, where each exhibition becomes a space of resonance, transmission and perceptual relation.

Fusion: Sino-French

University of Macau, 2024

Curated by Cecilia Ho

Presented as a French May Associate Project at the University of Macau in 2024, it celebrated six decades of cultural dialogue between China and France. Conceived as a space of encounter rather than comparison, the project explores transmission, memory and dialogue across cultures, languages and symbolic worlds.

Participating artists: João Miguel Barros, Cecilia Ho, Alice Kok, Lampo Leong & Francisco Ricarte.

Narrative in the Oriente

Orient Foundation, Macau, 2024
Curated by João Miguel Barros
A photographic and reflective project shaped as an inner journey. Through images and text, Narrative in the Oriente explores intuition, destiny, self-recognition and the poetic transformation of lived experience into visual form.

A Different Point of View

Hong Kong Visual Art Centre, 2014
Dialogue in photography with Richard Woldendorp
A photographic dialogue developed with Australian aerial photographer Richard Woldendorp, bringing two distinct visual sensibilities into relation through landscape, perspective and the act of looking.

Transporting Qi

Major Project Focus
2012–2018 | Macau / Hong Kong / Kassel / Fremantle
Transporting Qi is one of the major conceptual and itinerant projects in Cecilia HO’s practice. Built around the movement of qi — understood as breath, energy and circulation — the project traces a journey from Macau to Yuanyang through Hong Kong, Zhanjiang, Baise, Luoping and Jianshui.
Combining photography, video, installation and participation, the project records a China in transformation while creating links between places, people and memory through a shared invisible force.
